Visitors now can apply online, minimum of four days before the trip and a maximum of 120 days. Once approved after making the necessary payment, one can take a printout to show it to the immigration officials. It can be utilised for three times a year.

Parking:
Madurai International Airport has the capacity of 333 parking lots to accommodate the vehicles of passengers. There is an entry fee collected by authorised AAI agency. Entry fee for different types of vehicles as follows (as on 25.04.17)
Two wheeler: Rs 15
Car: Rs 55
Tempo, SUV, Mini bus: Rs 60
Coach, Bus, Truck: Rs 70
The above charge is for first two hours. There will be a charge of Rs 5 for two wheelers and Rs 10 for all other vehicles per hour after first two hours.
